Kubuntu announced they will be staying with Plasma 5 with 24.04 LTS and wont move to Plasma 6 till 24.10. They are leaning more towards stability with their new release. I have to say,
that Im not looking forward to Plasma 6, after all the problems we saw with Plasma 5's release early on.

I downloaded the latest release of KaOS mainly because they have already moved to Plasma 6. I have not noticed much of any difference from Plasma 5. I have not paid too much attention to Plasma 6, so I have no idea what changes to look for. I did the install using Gnome Boxes. KaOS has always been a pretty solid release, but it is a rolling release, so I do not think long term stability is one of the project's objectives.
