Windows 12 may go subscription

Post by crosscourt »

Its a rumor and personally I dont think they will at that point but down the road as Win11 ages its very possible. What they charge and whether they give you the free upgrade from Win11 might make a huge difference.

Major sources say its not going subscription and will have a very AI focused OS, with new features and a new interface. Looks like Win11 will be your best friend, if Win12 goes too far with changes.

No intention of going past Windows 10
Can't run 11 - 3rd gen i5, no TPM

I just installed Win11 onto a Dell Optiplex 7010 with third gen i5 with no issues and typing on it now.
Check out this video which uses the Win11 iso and Rufus which inserts the changes to prevent checks when you copy it over to a USB drive.
