I don't know what OS Chris Titus was using in his video, but it seemed he got it to work, and even modified the shortcut to function properly. I copied and pasted the code he had into my terminal, but, I must have missed something.... :roll: :x

Hes admitted that its not a sure thing that it will work and he has a lot of experience to fall back on. I couldnt get it to work but Garmin offers it for Mac but not Linux.

As Dai said, sometimes Windows is the best option.

I came across this article which specifically talks about using Garmin with Linux.

I am not familiar with Garmin devices so I have no clue whether this is useful or not. I gather Garmin has a web interface for downloading Garmin needed stuff, that works fine for Linux devices. No clue what I am talking about, but perhaps if you are a Garmin and Linux user, you could find it useful.

I downloaded Garmin Express, and according to the article, all ​​​​​​​l need to do is install it. Does anyone know the command line on Linux MX to install a program..?

It appears to be a web based app so youll run it through the browser I assume but Im not familiar with it.

Got it to install, but it won't open... :roll: I installed Wine, so I guess I'd have to try to open with that. The problem is, I don't know how to use Wine... :roll: :lol:

Chris Titus link had some info on using Wine but honestly call a friend and update it with Windows.
