This weekend was the Minnesota Local Music Festival down at the park. It features Minnesota musicians only. This is its second year and the turn out was pretty small, more musicians than spectators. Very nice mix of music if you like a mixed bag. Salsa, folk, rock, bluegrass and even a bit bigger swing band was performing.
I took my scooter down to the park to see what was going on. Had a beer, then came back home and listened on the porch. About half way through the summer, three festivals down and three more to go. There is jazz on Wednesday evenings, which is nice. I go to those more. They are acoustical and the sound really does not quite make it to my porch. For a small town in the middle of nowhere it has a decent music scene.

Re: Minnesota Local Music Festival
Thats pretty nice to be able to enjoy it from your porch. Right now its way to hot to sit outside and listen to anything.
