Windows 11 March 2023 update may cut your SSD speeds in half

Post by crosscourt »

I tested my Win11 install with a WD SN550 2tb Nvme ssd and the numbers were low but not cut in half. Most of the speeds were down about 200-300mb but my one of my read speeds was down 500-600mb. Not sure if this is a real problem or not, but some report drives that typically run at 7000mb, running at 3000mb. If you have the issue, uninstall the latest update to slve it.

Doesnt seem to affect my sata ssds just the nvme ssds. Can confirm with my new system that read and write speeds have been cut in half.
