Go to the HP website and see if they have the firmware update and recommended method to install it. Personally I wouldnt bother given the firmware update could brick your printer and the problem is really minor.

I wouldn't even worry about it, but that stupid reminder keeps appearing. There's no
" Don't display this dialog again" box to click on. And there's no supply level indicator that comes up when you click on " supplies " in the Hp printer driver. Not the end of the world, just annoying.. :x

Yes... I went in and checked it, the supplies drop down is now showing ink levels. I tried to find somewhere to shut off the low ink warning. No go....

I just left this Hp alone. It's working fine, and I can just click on the dialogue box, to get rid of it.

I have a really old HP Deskjet 950C printer in my shop. It was given to me by my former girlfriend,so, it didn't cost me anything. She got rid of all her peripherals when she moved, so I got it. This printer works GREAT with Linux MX..! I just had to buy a new color ink cartridge, but it was only $19..! I tried to refill the old one, but it didn't work. Bought a new one, plopped it in, and it just worked..! What a great machine..! Sometimes, new ISN'T better..!😁😆
