Ubuntu will force all the flavors to drop Flatpak support in the next release. Looks like Mint is going to get a lot more popular with this move.

Not goodbye - just not enabled as a default. After all Canoni$oft developed the snap system so they're unlikely to want to keep making others available easily. The next step will of course be Ubuntu specific packages only - other debs will or flatpaks won't work.....
