If you're a football fan, sad news to report, Franco Harris has died at 72. Being from Western Pa, everyone knows who and what he did for the Steelers, with the " Immaculate Reception ". There was plans all weekend here for the 50th anniversary of that event, to honor him, and talk about the play that changed the Steelers career.
Enjoy your life while you can. You never know how long you got.

Re: FRANCO HARRIS
Saw that this morning. Wasn't alive yet during his heyday, but definitely was familiar with his body of work.

Amazing reception to see and very sorry he passed. Its a mixed bag with athletes as some take of themselves and others let things go and issues happen. Football itself can cause some issues silently, particularly in the brain.

Franco was an absolute icon both personally, and professionally, in this community. He was kind to everyone. He was always willing to talk to everyone, including total strangers, and help charities and organizations with his fame. He will be sadly missed.
