Im running Neon on my E4310 so I can see the updates. It doesnt have any issues with wifi auto connect unlike MX Linux.

MX on my M700 wont auto connect but it does work when you click on it manually and thats also true for both of my e6440 laptops. The issue with Peppermint appears to be only with the older e4310 laptops. That said MX wont do anything with the e4310 laptops and Peppermint has the same issue. Q4OS and Neon work fine with them as well as with all my other laptops and will auto connect. The e4310 laptops are using newer Intel AC wifi cards that work fine with most distros. Its a bit perplexing given Q4OS and MX uses the same version of KDE.

Can only speak to basic Debian, and only on 1 laptop anymore (1 laptop got moved to Endeavour, 1 got moved to SID), but haven't had any issues with my Debian 11 w/ plasma 5.25.5 (npreining repos) laptop and wifi.

Q4OS KDE is fine so its not Debian, its got to be MX.

I do wonder what the underlying culprit on wifi connectivity is. I am seeing the problem in Fedora with both KDE and Gnome. It appears to be something Linux related. Windows connects without problems, my wife's Mac connects without hesitation. I reset my router and extenders, which at first appeared to correct the problem, but then after a few hours I found them back. I noticed that many times wifi connection is established on boot, but upon wake from sleep I run into troulbe getting the wifi connection established again. I have also noted at times where a connection is established with the internal network being fine, but there is no internet connectivity.

Yesterday I did an install of PCLinuxOS Darkstar their minimalist version with KDE and had no auto connect wifi issues. Then I did an install of the Full version mind you Darkstar is a 11/22 release, full version is a 7/22 release. The full version had the same auto connect wifi issues I experienced with MX. PCLOS uses network manager now but both their versions were running the 6.0 kernel and KDE 5.26.3. Im guessing its a problem with network manager and the distros may be using different versions. PCLOS is an RPM, MX Debian based no similarity. MX uses KDE 5.20.5, PCLOS 5.26.3 but Neon also uses 5.26.3 and has no issues.
