As much as I like Zorin I prefer KDE and the feel of using it. MX 21 for me will be my choice for future distro use with KDE.

I thought Konqueror was discontinued..? I used to use it with Q4OS. But, when I switched to MX it didn't have KDE. I really don't keep up with the latest news. I just turn these on and if they work well, I'm good. I'm a novice, not like the rest of you guys..

Even if youre runnung the MX XFCE version you can go into MX package installer under desktop environments and install a different DE. MX decided to add a custom KDE version thats turned out very well.

I downloaded the KDE program today. I didn't get to see how it works, since I had a customer show up, and was busy with that. So how do you change desktops..? Like I said, I didn't even get to look at it.

I wouldnt go that route as youll like the customized KDE version much better. I would install the offered KDE version then add your backup files.
If you do try the KDE program, install it then when you boot up youll notice at login it will have an area where you can select either KDE or XFCE before boot. I havent used it in awhile so I assume its still setup that way.

They don't have a meta-package to pull in the actual mx kde desktop?

They do have a KDE desktop package to install but its not exactly the same as the customized KDE iso version they offer. I havent worked with it in awhile so it may have changed. I prefer to always install the DE version of my choice rather than adding a DE package later.

I probably won't even bother with it. I spent a bunch of time between doing repairs and customers, messing around with it to get it where I like it. I will just end up removing the KDE program thru synaptic package manager.

Nothing wrong with XFCE and its been the default DE for MX for quite some time. It took awhile for KDE to mature on MX but now its quite good.
