The "notebook bar" is starting to look quite decent in 6.1 now.

Had to install from libreoffice.org on my Kubuntu install. The libreoffice ppa is still (as of last night) still on 6.0.6.

Debian backports has it already. *buntu is still on 6.0.3 unless you use the libreoffice ppa, in which case it's 6.0.6. Arch is (surprisingly) at 6.0.6 still. Fedora 28 is (and will remain) at 6.0.6 (well, will remain at 6.0.x), so I also downloaded and installed from the page on Fedora. Fedora 29 will be the first version that switches to the 6.1 Libreoffice-fresh track.

Just checked Arch, and 6.1 IS in testing, so probably will be available in standard repos fairly soon.

Debian backports already has 6.1

Debian proper stable will never have even 6.0 due to how Debian does releases (thus why I feel backports is so necessary).
