I still like XFCE and the author has at least taken the time to check the different base systems to give an even spread. OK - it's XFCE - it works!

On the desktop I have switched over to Debian Mint + Cinnamon, but I still use XFCE on my laptops. Took a dive into Peppermint following the latest release - it's quite fun in its own way.

From the moment I installed MX Linux on my computer, I just left XFCE on it. I find it easy and practical to use. I did experiment with Plasma, but, it didn't work well on my computer. I just went back to XFCE, and it's been fine ever since.

I dont find XFCE to my taste these days but its a great DE regardless. I prefer KDE and some of the custom Gnome Shell offerings such as with Zorin OS.

Peppermint is a nice distro and I like the way they use XFCE. My favorite XFCE distros are MX Linux and Mint.
