I downloaded and installed Mint a few days ago. I am not sure what version it was. I wanted to try the LMDE version, but it would not boot my machine. The flagship ubuntu 22.04 based version booted and installed without any problems, and has been running well. Plain vanilla Debian installs on the machine without any problems, but the Debian based distros I have looked at have not booted, let alone install. I have no idea why that would be. I do not mind doing some trouble shooting on an install to try and get around problems, but I have no patience for those that will not boot and do not even try and trouble shoot the problem or find a solution.

I dont run LMDE but Mint hasnt had any issues with any of my hardware, including my much older hardware.
