I have not liked Zorin enough to use it, but it has always been interesting. I generally purchase or donate to any OS I use if they are asking for a purchase or donation. Zorin has just never hit the threshold where I want to take the plunge, so I just peek at it from time to time.

This is their news post on the Zorin OS 17 preview beta. <https://blog.zorin.com/2023/12/04/a-sne ... rin-os-17/>. Itsfoss always just seem to snag the content from the original source then bury it lots of click bait ads.

Zorin OS has an RSS feed for their news. <https://blog.zorin.com/index.xml>, which can be added to any feedreader.

I dont have an issue with ads on websites, particularly with well known established websites. Sites are trying to maintain revenue and most major sites have ads, including my old home www.anandtech.com. Even Phoronix has ads, as well as Distrowatch so not a huge issue.
I also like to see the take other sites have on a new distro, other than the standard blog blurb you get from the devs. Zorin isnt for everyone but is one of the most stable, beautiful and cohesive distros Ive ever used. Excellent hardware compatibility and added features for Windows app compatibility.
For Windows users its a great choice that makes learning and using Linux much easier.

I also wanted to mention that the Zorin OS updater will not upgrade 16.3 to 17 beta.
