Its a firmware issue with the Printer and they may offer an update.

Go to the HP website and see if they have the firmware update and recommended method to install it. Personally I wouldnt bother given the firmware update could brick your printer and the problem is really minor.

I wouldn't even worry about it, but that stupid reminder keeps appearing. There's no
" Don't display this dialog again" box to click on. And there's no supply level indicator that comes up when you click on " supplies " in the Hp printer driver. Not the end of the world, just annoying.. :x

I havent used an HP printer in awhile byt in Linux the HP GUI package I believe does show ink levels.

Yes... I went in and checked it, the supplies drop down is now showing ink levels. I tried to find somewhere to shut off the low ink warning. No go....

My Canon printer continues to bug me about a firmware update but its an older printer and honestly I dont want it screwed up.

I just left this Hp alone. It's working fine, and I can just click on the dialogue box, to get rid of it.

Ive had some bad luck with firmware updates on printers. so Im cautious.
