Oh yeah, 16GB is pretty much the sweet spot, I had 32GB in my 7470 (for a short time), and not sure if it was the memory latency of having to address all of it, or just the fact that the cpu wasn't powerful enough, or something else entirely, but it actually seemed slower with 32GB than 16GB.

Im going to be using the laptop for some projects so after looking at the resource usage, it appeared 16gb was the better choice.

Still waiting for my ram and USB hard drive adapter to finish upgrading my laptop. The weather issues slowed things down a lot.

New WD blue 500gb SSD in in and its faster than the Samsung that was installed originally. They are both Sata SSD S.2 2280 but the speed difference is very noticeable. Cloning initially didnt go well but eventually I finally got the drive to boot properly. Very pleased with the spped and performance of this laptop and its only a 6th gen Intel system. Ram should be here Monday and we will have 16gb.

Ran a low end game on the laptop last night and it ran amazingly well. Might try a few more to see if I could do some steady gaming on the go.

That one's just the IGP, yes? No discrete card (not that the discrete card offered on those was much better than the IGP to be fair)?
