It's an interesting problem. Moz needs revenue and Google is a good search engine. What they do with user data may or may not be a thing but the underlying tool is good.

Sadly concerns about big tech always go away after a big furore amid promises and assurances - and a few big backhanders to lobbyists and others!

With a possible change in administration here in the States this more than likely will go nowhere. Its more of the silly posturing that has been used by the Trump administration who wants to go after a variety of enemies. An employee of Google accused them of bias towards Trump and this became a storm on top of allegations about Google and the Chinese military. Mostly news concocted on shows like the Lou Dobbs show on Fox business. They are also going after Facebook and Twitter so the silly actions continue.
