Well, Haiku won't boot on Ventoy (not that surprising). It DOES boot on the Chromebook though when on a native USB, which somewhat shocked me. However, it doesn't recognize the touchpad, and since the Chromebook only has 1 USB A port, and the USB to boot Haiku is in that...no way to use an external mouse. So no idea if networking works or not. :D

Zorin 15.2 I tried to test on my E6400 to see if the thermal issues had improved but it wont run on either of the two that use the NV98 Quadro gpus.

So, q4os was starting to bore me this morning, so I was going to put Anarchy on the Chromebook. All newer versions of Anarchy are inherently broken. It MUST be online to install, but they've removed Intel wifi drivers from the live iso (yes, because NOONE has intel wifi in their machine???), and even if you plug in a nic so you can start the install, it no longer allows you to format your EFI partition as vfat (which is required for EFI). So yeah...looks like Endeavour will be my Arch installer going forward even though I don't like how it installs as much as how Anarchy did.

Eh, it's one of the only distro's that bundle Trinity (which the Arch package for Trinity is a steaming wreck), so I use it. Since all other DE's just make me curl my nose as if someone just shoved manure in my face with how awful I find their desktops look, I'm kinda stuck with KDE, Trinity, or roll my own. And I have NO desire to roll my own when KDE already got it close to what I call perfect.

After updating my other distros, Neon going to 20.04 the latest version. I gave Mageia a try and the most recent beta was a disappointment. Retried the updated recent version of Rosa R11 and although still good, its lagging behind other offerings.

Will be giving the 20.04.1 Ubuntu another try as well.

Updated Rosa R11 again last night and they had Chrome 84 and Firefox 79 but still using LibreOffice 6.3 with KDE 5.14.4, but kernel is 5.4.40.
Runs great and by far the best RPM distro Ive used this year.
