This might be a real nice option with Debian.....the other Linux Mint had issues on my Optiplex 7010. This might work way better.

Which Mint had problems on your 7010? Cinnamon had some issues bu the recent version 19 had none on my 7010. Mate and XFCE versions also work very well. I run Mint 19 Cinnamon on my main desktop same as yours 7010.

I play with distros all the time and maybe the Debian version would be worth looking at.

The version prior to this....I haven't bothered with any other newer versions since MX-17 runs so well.

Nothing wrong with that. Even though I look and try a lot of distros I stick to a few for my personal use. Mint 19 Cinnamon, MX17 and Neptune 5.5 are among my regular use distros. I try most by livecd but given how easy it is to install I use old small drives to do test installs.
By 2020 when Win7 goes away Ill settle on a single distro for my future use as Im not going to Win10.
