SparkyLinux is moving to focusing on two DE's, LXQT and LXDE instead of trying to cater to so many choices.

I've used Sparky before, and I thought it was a decent OS. My only issue with it is: Does it offer a SINGLE thing that isn't already available in Debian? No.

Correct it doesnt offer anything you cant get from Debian. The other issue is the repos arent real up to date and many times only older versions of software are available. The author of the article mentioned they had Libreoffice 5.2 when 6 has been out for quite awhile.
