Not sure why he decided to compare Mint Ubuntu to Debian as its such an apples vs oranges comparison. I posted it to highlight the differences for some readers.

NO winner, because target auditory is different!
Debian - for experienced users with special hardware requirements and servers.
Linux Mint - for home and office users, who just want OS, which is easy to understand and "Just work out of the box".
Author should go .... to sleep and take a rest...

Yes, if it was LMDE vs. Debian that would make a lot more sense, and be much more "apples to apples" comparison.
