I haven't used that in a while, have you tried it recently?

I havent tried it recently and I typically dont test Debian testing distros that often.

I quite liked it when I tried it last, but I was using the LxQt version and it had a few issues but overall it wasn't too bad.

Yeah, that's the only version of Sparky I've tried. Generally when I want to see how LxQT is coming along, that's what I install (or arch).

I used the LXDE version and LXQT I really dont like that much. Ive used SparkyLinux and tested it since 2013 and last year was my last go with it and frankly it hasnt changed much since then. It does the basics really well but still has a lot of issues that should have been solved. If youre a Debian veteran youll probably be fine, otherwise Id look elsewhere. Ive played with KDE with it, with some success last year.

I'll agree that LxQT development has been much slower than it should be given the size of the team (razorqt & lxde teams combined) that's working on it. Still one of the few desktops I think is fully usable, even if it does have a TON of issues.

I got fed up with Lubuntu as the flow of the desktop plus the problems was a big turnoff. When you come from really nice DEs like KDE, its hard to tolerate so many issues.
