Agreed. I've played around with Wayland, and it does actually mostly work if you use Gnome, but it doesn't work that well with most other deskbe tops, and quite frankly I find the touchpad support of libinput to be FAR FAR FAR from usable level (synaptics doesn't function with Wayland) on too many of my devices (although to fair, it's a TON better than it was a year ago).

Ive had issues with Fedora and Wayland so prefer to put that off for awhile.

Looking forward to this release in April given what Ive seen in 17.10. Its come a long way and between the very quick boot time, better performance,
new desktop interface choices and a few bug fixes, its going to be great release.
