Feren was so good that I dropped the rest of the Mint versions as I like KDE a lot more.

Far too many issues for my tastes. I'll take rock stable and outdated of Debian.

Feren keeps its KDE packages pretty up to date like Neon but give it some time, its their first KDE distro.
First time I tried Neon, there were a lot of issues.

I know, and that's why I wanted to follow it with a VM.

I dont tend to follow distros, I either try live media or keep it on a test system and run it over time. If it suits my fancy right away I install it on one of my main systems and use it everyday.

Re: My favorite distros January 2020
I've got 5 levels for distro's.
1. Love it. This is pretty obvious. Debian, Neon, Arch all fall into this level.
2. It could work if I had to, but not my first choice. These are systems I CAN use as is, but wouldn't be my first choice and often contain things that make me annoyed with them. Things like ROSA, q4os trinity, Manjaro.
3. It's got such...POTENTIAL. This is where Feren falls for me. These systems I can't use on an actual machine. They're just not good enough, or they lack something major that makes them unusable to me. But the underlying concept is good, and so I want to follow them in VM's. Void and Feren are the 2 big ones in this spot right now, and if the dev starts working on it again, Frugalware.
4. No, it sucks. This is where the vast majority go. Including all the various "I changed the wallpaper, it's a new OS!!!" distro's, and anything that runs Gnome by default.
5. Get it away, it HURTS US!!! This is my dog house. Horrible OS's to me that I can't stand. This is beyond the "it sucks" level. I actively DISLIKE these. OpenSuse is the head honcho here, being the worst OS I've ever used in my life (worse than Windows ME!!!). But Gentoo, Slackware, Sorcerer linux, and a few others also hang out in this zone.
