Some nice fixes in this update but overall not a huge change.

Memory usage has improved by about 10% which is welcome given Zorin uses around 1.2gb at GUI.

Have just gone back to using Zorin on my laptop as its features as really nice versus other distros. Its the only distro during install that you dont have to lift the cover to enable the external monitor with a dock.

For those of you who want a lighter DE, Zorin OS 15.1 Lite is available with XFCE.

Zorin 15.2 seems to have an issue with older Nvidia laptop gpus. My recent experience was with a Dell E6400 that uses a Nvidia Quadro 160m NV98 that wont finish booting after login. Its the only Ubuntu based distro I use that has any issues with this type of laptop. Other than this anomaly my overall experience with Zorin 15.2 has been excellent.

Zorin OS 15.2 will install on the E6400 if you use the modern Nvidia driver option. Its strange as the Nouveau drivers do work with other Ubuntu distros but at least it installed. GHankfully it hasnt increased resource usage very much, but the Nouveau drivers are a lot lighter.

Not sure if they have it with THAT old a card, but I know a lot of the "newer" cards that Nouveau does support doesn't have any power management features in the driver, so run hotter and drain battery faster than the proprietary driver. That may not have that issue due to how old it is however, as there's been PLENTY of time for them to get power management working.

Quadros are naturally hotter than using an Intel gpu so not surprised as the E6400 Quadro runs around 50-52c. Havent seen any evidence that it uses a lot more power but running in 2d mode shouldnt be an issue. To my knowledge the most recent Nouveau drivers in the 20.04 Ubuntu distros does support power management and Ive got Ubuntu Mate 20.04 running on the other E6400 Nvidia laptop with no issues using the Nouveau driver.
