Re: Mx Linux 17 Horizon review/plus follow up review
Ive never seen a distro strike such a good chord with so many users. Its up to 7 on Distrowatch and all the reviews so far rave about it. Its becoming the single most recommended distro on many sites/forums. Ever time I bring it up on forums people chime in with positive comments on their experience with MX17, Among my friends and clients its very popular and given that I offer 20 distros to try, Im amazed how many choose to use MX17,
Ive tried it with older hardware and it runs fine with 2gb of ram. Detects hardware with no issues and is very consistent no matter what system your using.

This is all I use now. Why bother with anything else...? I think if anyone finds a distro that has this many features, and something that installs as easy as this one, it's hard to consider something else. I used Q4OS since I dumped Microslop but in 2015-16, but it crashed on me a couple of times. Then, with Scorpion 2.4, even tho the distro was upgraded, they added a partitioning option which made it unruly to install. One of the features I like so well about MX is that they give you 2 options for installation. Complete or install (with) another distro. I always install the complete distro, I don't like having 2 running on the same computer(personal preference) .I can't say enough accolades about MX Horizon...!

Once you find something you like stick with it. I continue to bounce around and use a variety of distros but my main system only has MX17 and Neptune 5.1.
When people ask me what distro to try first, I send them to MX17.

Re: Mx Linux 17 Horizon review/plus follow up review
MX17 has become so popular and has risen to 6-7 on Distrowatch, with many excellent reviews and a lot of buzz on various forums I travel. Even on some of the more old school forums people have commented how much they like MX17.

MX17 has now become my main laptop/portable distro replacing the venerable wattOS R10, as it wortks on anything with no issues. Even some of the kost stubborn older hardware works fine with MX17.
