Its a great distro offering something for both experienced or newbie users. The MXTools offer one click access to many features once done in terminal, and even though it uses XFCE its resource usage is quite low at 280mb at main screen. So many nice user features like MXTweak and uses up to date apps as well versus some other debian based distros, like Firefox 57. Very easy to install and update with Conky giving you up to date info on your system.

Simply one of the best distros you can use and will work for users of all experience levels. Works great on newer and older systems with no issues.

Even better its Debian based.

After using this distro for awhile now, I love it. Its rare that I can find a distro that covers so many bases, but this one for me, just works.

Im not the only one who likes it as its moving up the Distrowatch rankings anywhere from 10-15 and in review rating is #2.

It will be a top 10 distro easily and if they continue down this road could be as popular as Mepis was back in the day.

Forums on many sites are buzzing about this distro. Just spotted a comment over at www.lxer.com in their recent discussion section where a user was praising MX17 as his new production distro. Ive moved over to it as well and i agree with him, its the best Debian 9 based distro out there right now.

How well does it run on older hardware...? At one point on the product video,it's said that it needs 4 gig of RAM ..? I'm running only 2 gig on my oldest machine, and 4 gig on my AMD 64 machine...

Ive got it running on my older laptop with a core 2 1.3 ghz cpu and 2gig of ram so it should be fine. Its around the same footprint as Linux Lite that runs well on my older hardware. Id try it and see how it goes.
