I havent tried LXLE in quite awhile , may have to give it a look.

Not much has changed with this distro but unfortunately it wont run with my laptop/dock at all.

Not that surprising given that it's still using LXDE instead of LXQT. The active development for LXDE ceased some 3+ years ago now.

LXQT doesnt work either with my laptop/dock.

More surprising, but still not incredibly shocking. Not exactly what I'd call close to feature complete desktop. I like it fairly well, but it still lacks a LOT. I remember hating it quite a bit when using it on my e-dock when I still had it, and that's not THAT long ago.

Speaking of, I should try installing Trinity and LXQT on something to test how they work with the USB-C dock.

XFCE works with most of the distros I run but not Mate.

LXLE though is still a very nice distros and is very lightweight if youre using older hardware.
