Linux Lite has a lot of unique features that really help beginners but offer ease of use to more experienced users. Performance is excellent and for daily use its one of the nicest distros you can use, defaulting to XFCE. It allows upgrading tho the newest version in series with a single click.

I am planning to test Linux Lite 3.8, when it will be released, and of course, when I'll have free time. Right now, I am using Linux Mint 18.3 XFCE. Also, after three years of testing, XFCE is still my favourite desktop environment. The second is MATE.

Another XFCE distro you should look at is MX Linux 17. Same here I really like XFCE,( Im typing on Linux Mint 18.3 XFCE now).

The nice thing is you can upgrade your version of Linux Lite within the same series. Last night I upgraded 3.0 to 3.6.
