Not sure how I feel about this, at this point. While I do like IBM, they haven't exactly been cutting edge in quite some time.

Re: IBM to acquite Red Hat
You beat me to it as I posted this on two other tech sites already, but overall most see this as a positive move and something that will help IBM become more cutting edge. IBM's net worth is around $115 billion so they are taking a big risk if it doesnt pan out.

Yes, a fairly decent risk, although it does align with their strategy well. IBM was one of the earliest companies to embrace open source, and they've supported it since the first days, so it quite makes sense, I'm just...I'm not sure that Red Had will be able to innovate (even when it's a bad thing IMO ala SystemD) with IBM in control. While they embrace open source, it's been a long time since IBM was considered an innovative company. Like, decades...

IBM claims they wont get in Red Hat's way thus allowing them quite a bit of freedom, but lets see what happens.

IBM to acquire Red Hat
Is this a legitimate arm of IBM? Or just some mid-tier marketeer with a sales group called IBM MQ team?
