Pocono 500 is on today, 1:30pm EST with Will Power on the pole.

In side news, it appears Alonso will be doing some car testing in early Sept.

Watching the Pocono race and Wickens touched the back wheel of Hunter-Reay and he had a serious accident tossing him into theait, into the fence, ripping his car apart. Other than that its been an interesting race but they mentioned that not only is Alonso coming to Indycars but Tony Stewart is coming back as well. The rumor is Alonso and Stewart may be teammates with a new team but lets take that with a grain of salt.

Yeah, AWFUL accident. I actually was watching the race live (despite it being an oval) and saw taht. Almost 2 hours on cleanup, and it was nearly 3 hours before they got word of Wickens status.

Absolutely dominating performance from Rossi once it got going. 180/200 laps led to win with ease.

Rossi is amazing and I first watched him in the F series in Europe and was impressed with his abilities. I typically dont watch the ovals but with only a few races left I decided to watch.

I usually record them, and watch them in fast forward. This one I actually watched since my recording had stopped about the time the race resumed.

Gees I hate oval racing, as the Bommerita 500 was pretty boring with Power pulling it out over Rossi in gas saving mode and Dixon.

Yeah, totally agreed with this one. I wasn't able to watch this whole race.

I can always watch an entire F1 race even when its boring but oval races put me to sleep. Sonoma though is going to be interesting.

I can watch the occassional oval if there's constant passing and action. This race was NOT consdtant action...

I find it tough to watch Rossi such a good road course driver running on an oval in gas saving mode.
