Its Been a Year
It's been a little over a year since Neil Peart died on January 7th. In that time,I thought about how much influence he had on my my career, musically and professionally. I remember running around at school,in 1975/76 playing guitar in bands, and copying Rush songs. Since I had a big nose,..LoL..! everyone said I sounded exactly like Geddy Lee,so I ended up being the vocalist in many of my bands I played in. I actually think it was more because I was an angry young man, with a ton of angst in my soul. I spent hours perfecting songs from " All The World 's A Stage", " A Farewell to Kings " and " Hemispheres " which led to a side career as a roadie, then sound engineer, and finally Production Manager. All this, was thanks to Rush, mostly Neil Peart. His approach at life, musically and lyrically, was unlike any " rock star" then, or now. If anyone gets a chance, check out some of the books he authored. R.I.P. Neil....never to be forgotten.
