In the world of Linux, I have mostly always like to be with the really stable (Debian) or at least LTS versions. However in Windows I have tended to think Windows has no where to go but improve, so I go to the latest. Usability changes, but somehow it does not seem to get better. In any event I am on Win 11 with all my hardware. It is stable, and responsive, and you can do most everything. It just always seems extra hard to do.

Win11 for most users hasnt been stable. Graphics driver issues, printer issues and file system issues to name a few. They patch it and break something else. Gamers still prefer Win10 because of driver issues and in general there are less app issues with Win10.

I spend a large amount of time in Windows. I support my family and friends, many clients are using it and I do some of my online gaming work with it.
My personal everyday pc right now is using Zorin 16 but its difficult to remain in the Linux world. My hope is to move away from it in the years ahead but given what goes on right now, its going to be difficult.

Agreed. Windows is utterly uninportant in any way to me. And if I get a good enough job offer this week, then it'll be even LESS important, as I'll no longer be doing ANY desktop support, 100% server support of Linux.

May the gods of jobs and work smile on you. I do not think I would enjoy supporting desktop users at all, in fact I am pretty sure I would really suck at it. In woodworking my typical line was, "You said you knew how to use the tools. Either figure it out quickly or I will get someone who can."
