Covid 19 shot today

Post by crosscourt »

My wife and I went over to Kaiser and got our first shot of the Pfizer vaccine. A lot of people there but far saner then many of the mass vaccine sites.
Im glad it happened as my wife has Diabetes and I was constantly worried I would bring it home to here from work. We go back in 3 weeks for the second shot and within two weeks of that we should have full immunity but it appears a booster may be needed for the variants.

I had my first Covid shot yesterday, it was the Pfizer vaccine. Minnesota has been grinding its way through all the people. As I understand all front line/first responder workers have been vaccinated, along with all teachers and food service workers. Next week they will be starting on factory workers specifically in the food processing industry. I am so looking forward to hugging the kids and grandkids and having coffee with friends.

Immune response was a killer. Swollen shoulder and felt like I had a case of the flu with body aches and a headache with fatigue. Hopefully this will subside before I go to work on Monday.

Pfizer, its the first shot with the second one coming in March. Typically someone my age 67,doesnt see this type of reaction, as its far more common in younger people. Its a bit better today. My wife didnt have any issues.

Thanks chris. It appears we may also be getting a third shot for the variants.

We had ours on Tuesday - Oxford A-Z.
Wednesday wife felt awful - I was OK
By Friday she was OK apart from stomach cramps and I was feeling a generally bit rough - muscle cramps, tiredness, headache, joint pains...
Saturday morning my temp dropped from 36.1 to 34.9 and has stayed low since.
Both still have off and on pain from jab arm as well.

On the plus side I've suddenly found I can play the piano! .........naah! that's just in the movies :)

LOL!! Still feeling a bit out of it and of course had two emergencies on the property today, including a gas leak. Hopefully things will get a bit more sane soon.
