Re: Favorite Linux websites
I follow news through RSS (hence my constant complaining about Akregator not working) and more recently I have been following tech news with YouTube.
<https://pointieststick.com> Nate Graham KDE development news
<https://www.omgubuntu.co.uk> Ubuntu focused
<https://arstechnica.com/> mostly just general tech stuff
On Youtube I watch
Quidsup An interesting mix of news, reviews and a few tutorials
The Linux Experiment He has twice monthly shows on Linux news

Arstechnica is my home site as I use to work for them awhile back. Check out phoronix.com as its a Linux/open source tech site.

Re: Favorite Linux websites
Cool, I always enjoy their 10 page reviews of OSes. When they were bought out a good while back I was concerned they would degrade in quality, however they have remained consistently very good for what must be a couple decades now.
I use to visit phornix somewhat regular a long time back. But overall I am not that interested in system performance. Well I am, but when what I mainly do is just bookish sorts of stuff performance is not a big issue. Mainly I stopped going because the owner went into a phase of always being very pushy about wanting you to donate.
If I am interested in a particular distro, I will try and follow their forum, like Q4OS, I do enjoy this forum. The links to tutorials, OS releases and such is very handy and I do follow some of them.
