Anything that originally shipped with Windows on Dell Latitude Exx40 and newer will have had a valid license. At this point, 99% of the OEM hardware you're going to find for sale will have a valid Windows key that will if nothing else upgrade to Win10 when it's installed and put online. Only in 2 cases (again, OEM only) should you see issues nowadays:
1. Originally sold without Windows
2. OEM license has been revoked as part of a recycling effort. This will realistically only apply to Win7/8.1 licenses, as Win10 licenses are so cheap now for OEM's that recyclers no longer get any money if they invalidate the OEM license. I've seen recyclers still do it, but it's actually more hassle for them now to do so since they get no money back from M$ for it unless the system is <3 months old.

Ive had three laptops where the Win10 version had issues when trying to upgrade. I ended up using Win7 then installing Win10. One was a 7450 that belonged to a friend and it was more than likely an OEM install issue. Doesnt happen often but its happened to me recently.

They had to release another printer update to fix the problems the last one caused.

I'm actually unsure if I have my printer installed on my Windows install...

Well, yes, but also I just don't PRINT from Windows!! Like it's been so long I honestly am not sure how to properly set up a printer anymore in Windows. I've probably mentioned before, but this was years ago, when I got the new (at the time) printer, I got it set up in like 2 minutes on linux, and on my (at the time) wife's computer with Win10, it took me 20 minutes to figure out how to install it!!!

Printers setup pretty much the same as Linux as all my printers were auto detected and drivers installed in Win!0.

Installed the cumulative optional update that has fixes for printing, performance and other issues. All 3 of my laptops and desktop had no issues with the updates.

Six installs of the recent updates and it seems to be ok and actually solved a printer issue for one user.
