Although the drives are going up. A few months ago the SX8200 Pro (best SSD for PCI-e 3.0x4 IMO) could be found for $125. When I looked, couldn't find it less than $165. The Pioneer that I had bought for $90, couldn't find for less than $160 (also a VERY good drive, identical the the MP510/P34A80/BPX Pro/etc). All my favorite go-to's went up in price beyond what I was willing to pay!!

Great price. My laptop needs are very modest so a E6440 would be a high end ride for me at this point. I buy extra older laptops for parts as its a lot cheaper than buying the parts separately.

Biggest reason for me to have modernized my laptops in the last 2 years was for USB-C. Since I swapped out to the USB-C dock at my house so I can use my work laptop on a dock instead of trying to function for 8 hours on a 13.3" display, MOST of the laptops I had at the time would no longer work. So I actively started replacing. Now that everything supports USB-C, I hadn't really PLANNED on getting anything else, but:

1. <$300 for zen+ quad core 1080P!!! HOLY $^$@# that's CHEAP!!
2. IT'S BLUE!!!!!!

Yeah, I get excited over things that a lot of people just don't care about. But after YEARS of having almost all black or silver laptops, when I saw a blue laptop that good priced, I just couldn't resist.

If I had more cash Id honestly be like you as I like to play with tech but since I use conventional edocks I really dont care about USB-C overall. Ive always enjoyed refurbishing older tech items and continue to do that for myself and for non-profits. I also like colors in tech but Im not so into it that Ill diss my laptops that are a bit boring.

If I wasn't bordering on being a hoarder I'd probably keep the 7375 to be fair....

Id keep it if I were you. Im not a hoarder but I do own a lot of tech and some of it is collectables some of it is for parts. I do regular cleanouts at times and move on.

I try not to own more than 7 computers. Upon arrival of the 5485, I'll be at 9. Too many, that's full-on hoarder territory!!!

On the good side I have had some interest in the Chromebook. Noone has followed through, but I've gotten a few emails about it.
