Not that bad YET. Going to get far worse though before it gets better.

Currently only 4% mortality rate, which isn't comparitively bad (SARS, which is another form of coronavirus and what the current working Covid19 virus vaccines that are being worked on is being based on, was 10%), but the numbers are already FAR eclipsing SARS. Sars during it's entire run was reported in 19 countries, and had something like 8,000 TOTAL deaths (w/ ~10% mortality, translates to only ~80,000 TOTAL cases). Covid19 is already reported in 47 countries, and has several HUNDRED THOUSAND reported cases. And with how long it's been found to be able to survive on surfaces, it's nowhere near finished yet I believe.

A friend of mine believes it's being used as a " marker " for something much more lethal in the future. Something that can be monitored for dispersion, and infection rate. Information about weaponization is probably being collected as this whole tragedy unfolds.

According to the national news this morning the UK has only seen 20 confirmed cases and 1 death, I think this must be a rather conservative figure myself, they also said there was only one case where the person contracted it from inside the UK.

The news also said that the Chinese economy was being hit really hard with a lot of people not able to go to work, so this could also cause China's economic growth to collapse and could cause a recession in the country, personally I think that this would easily be fixed with measures the government can take to off-set these things, but time will tell...

I think this is a part of a massive global conspiracy to eliminate people. Let's face it, the planet cannot sustain 7 billion people. We'll see,but this all part of some nefarious plan...😳😵💀💀👹

Its no conspiracy but the Chinese need to change their ways and in particular the livestock practices in many major cities and provinces that contributed to the many outbreaks. Youd think the Chinese would have learned their lesson the first two times but they didnt and here we go again. The mortality rate is interesting as most people do not not see serious symptoms/effects and it comes down to having a wildly serious case of upper respiratory issues similar to a very bad Flu. People with medical conditions already, the young and very old with compromised immune systems are definitely at a higher risk. Anyone remember the Swine and Victoria Flu panic and shots were given out everywhere here in the States and it didnt pan out.
Given the economic level in China I doubt there will be a recession but certainly a short term downturn. If the virus spreads heavily there will be a worldwide recession no doubt but we will recover from it given what we went thru in the last economic crisis I think we will be fine.
Cases in China have slowed somewhat and the death rate reported that I saw was 2% not 4% quoted above from China. The bigger issue is people need to take precautions and when you have HHS workers here in the States sent to check on new cases at a military base in California by Trump and they dont wear protective gear, then leave and create new cases, thats what worries me the most. If handled properly such as the Ebola virus incident in Africa, it can be contained. The Diamond Princess ship in Yokohama is another good example of creating the spread of the disease when politics force actions that allow people to leave the ship who werent properly quarantined.
Put away some extra food and supplies, take precautions like washing your hands and using masks if possible but it will work itself out I believe thru the hard work of disease specialists who handle every outbreak and there have been many well before this one.

I knew that and most of the people who have gotten Covid19 have reported symptoms similar to a severe cold or flu(flu not caused by corona virus). Thats not to minimize the fact that since people react very differently to infections depending on their own immune history and health, its still something that could heavily disrupt the world wide economy.

That's kinda surprising, most people don't realize how closely these 3 viri are related. Only reason I had known about it is the field that my company is in...

Most people dont even realize that more people have died from the flu this year worldwide and the flu is far more widespread than Covid19.
