Most of the State authorities are asking people to stay home and Monday is Federal holiday anyway.

I dont think we will get much snow but if they are wrong we could get blitzed. Very large storm forming off the coast that will become a blizzard for the Northeast.

None of that nonsense here. Just bitter cold,-0 temps here, with wind chills lasting days, instead of hours. Miserable. Very cold weekend coming up. Even tho the sun is out still 10-15 degrees below zero. January really sucked here. Looking to leave here as soon as I retire.

Temps in the high teens with a 15-25mph wind, gusts to 40mph. Feel like temp is close to 0F, but its sunny. We lucked out and didnt get much snow so at least I dont have to deal with clearing 17 buildings in these conditions. Temps will go into the mid 40s to high 50s next week so it will all melt. This is what the winters looked like back in 1967 when I first came to Virginia as we looked for a house. They predicted a warmer winter and less precip and they couldnt have been more wrong. Two Noreasters already this year. Reminds me more of Dec 2009 thru Jan 2010 when we had two Noreasters that brought 42 and 47 inches of snow.

Looks like two storms will miss us and warmer temps will stick around.

It is winter in Minnesota. Commenting on that is sort of like commenting on summer in the SW. Most days are very cold and a few days are extremely cold. It snow a few times a week. On the days we do not shovel the freshly fallen snow, we have to shovel the snow the wind has blown back on areas we shoveled yesterday. The ground hog is a poor prognosticator, up here everyone knows that of course we have at least six more weeks of winter. Typically by the end of March the weather is showing some improvements.
