Blade Runner 2049

Post by tlmiller »

So my wife and I went and watched this today. Over 2.5 hours long, and one of the rare movies that we both agree on. Long, and boring, we both regret watching it. Just had to say, because it was BAD.

Far and away the original was better. In almost every way, especially characterization.

I have to admit, I can't remember most of the music. But that's not unusual for me, I can't remember ANY movies music that I've ever seen, except a couple songs from a movie here and there (generally, when a movie has AC/DC in it).

So just looked it up, and yeah, not surprising I don't remember any of it. Not my type of music at all. It's the kind I totally tune out when watching a movie because it only serves as an annoyance for me.

Dont like the music?????? i thought it was great and added a lot to the movie and I wasnt the only one as Vangelis won awards for their music with Bladerunner and Chariots of Fire,
Im a scifi guy thru and thru so I guess my taste overall is different from yours.

Actually I am a scifi guy mostly. But I watch movies for the action and effects, and the humor. The music might add to a scene, but mostly I find music is just an annoyance that if it's too prevelent causes my enjoyment of the movie to go significantly down. Musicals excepted.

To me the music in Bladerunner help create the atmosphere and ambience of this futureworld and gave it a unique identity.

Love listening to Vangelis with headphones in a dark room and just lean back.
Who doesnt watch scifi for the action and effects but the soundtrack really adds a lot if its done right.

Just have to agree to disagree on this one, but most Bladerunner fans love the soundtrack.
