Boss going to the body shop...

Post by tlmiller » Wed Oct 09, 2019 2:39 pm

So, Monday morning on the way to work an 18-wheeler hit me. I saw him coming at the last moment and almost managed to get out of the way, but wasn't quite able to fully. So the drivers door has a fair amount of damage (external only, still fully functional including electronics). I don't believe he even knew he hit someone (it literally was just the front tire and the spikes that come out of the front wheel on most semi's), so just kept on going, given it was the beginning of rush hour I didn't try to chase him down to get his information. So I'll be paying the deductible, but she'll be getting fixed.

Yeah, totally freaked me out. Saw the rigs blinker getting closer and turned my head to look, and the front wheel of the rig was coming right at my head.

Yeah, when given the sheer size and mass of what caused it, it's not that bad at all.

My wife and her brother got hit by a semi at an angle and their car did multiple 360s till it hit the guard rail and thankfully no other cars hit them. They werent badfly hurt but their heads hit each other multiple times.
