My wife did find WPS comfortable to use after coming from MS Office.

Definitely agreed with that. It's a very well done UI that's let down by odd issues that previous versions never had.crosscourt wrote: ↑Fri May 03, 2019 5:33 pm Ive been using WPS a bit more and its certainly easy to work with, wish the issues werent there.

Hopefully they will fix the issues and I may still consider using it.

After using the three office suites, I still prefer FreeOffice overall.

Agreed. Since I have the full Softmaker suite (5 license), I prefer that, but sticking to free office suites, my choices are:crosscourt wrote: ↑Wed May 08, 2019 5:13 pm After using the three office suites, I still prefer FreeOffice overall.
OnlyOffice (with the caveat that it lacks a LOT of advanced features, although for what I do it's quite sufficient)
FreeOffice
LibreOffice
WPS Office

Re: WPS Office 11 (2019) released for linux
I do, but once upon a time OnlyOffice hadn't been released yet, LibreOffice was still basically identical to OpenOffice and had HORRIBLE compatibility with MS Office, and FreeOffice wasn't ANYWHERE near as feature complete as it is now. So the full version of SoftMaker at the time made a lot of sense, so since they always offer discounted upgrades when they first release a new version (I first bought 2008 edition, upgraded to 2012, upgraded to 2016, upgraded to 2018), I keep upgrading it even though with the latest versions of Soft/Free it's not really necessary anymore.

Most of the simple word processing I do, I use Abiword.
