Assuming you're using Linux, have you looked at yt-dl (fork of youtube-dl) command line downloader.
Get the URL from firefox, put it into the command line - faster (IMHO) too.

Many other extensions/addons for Youtube downloading within FF. Try some of them and see how it goes.

The extensions that are recommended by FF, I 've tried. The other ones on there after installing, want you to buy them. The others that are free, don't work. Tried them, junk.
Was looking on package installer, but other than command line downloader, none available. I think YouTube since adding all those stupid commercials, changed other features. It's all about money. They're really pushing subscriptions. If you don't,they just irritate the 💩 out of you with ads... :x :x :x :x

Its really curious as I initially had FF95 on Zorin but didnt have any of the issues I had with Win10. Using FF96 now with Zorin and also havent had any issues.

New releases have been coming a bit fast so typically corrections come within 1-2 minor updates. Ive actually had more issues with FF-ESR than Ive had with the Main version of FF.
