Not sure this counts as a distro but Trinity has been updated. It updated without a hitch of my Raspberry Pi,

Moved your post here as Trinity/TDE is a desktop environment versus a distro which is an OS.

Been using 14.0.10 for a while now - bug fixes are welcome. Just feels a whole lot slicker!

Trinity's announcement showed up in Akregator yesterday morning and when I did and apt update it was there. Slicker does seem an apt description. Kompose is an interesting new addition, almost a Gnome element. I was surprised that it seemed like everything was updated, I was not expecting it to be a 500+ MB download.

Updated my Trinity VM as well (basic debian 10 VM w/ Trinity), so far everything smooth except the "Public" "Templates" and "Videos" folders in my home directory keep recreating themselves if I delete them. I don't REMEMBER that happening previously, although it's possible, I don't exactly keep this updated regularly...

Yup - everything that is Trinity 14.0.9 gets upgraded. However you must have a whole lot of stuff installed - my Base install was about 290Mb download.

There's a user folder update routine in /etc/xdg/autostart - that goes round and makes sure you have the correct folder structure as defined in ~/.config/userdirs.dirs

You can disable it in /etc/xdg/user-dirs.conf

I came across Trinity DE just over a year ago via Q4OS. I was smitten and went overboard installing stuff. Trinity has a huge variety of software. Lots of kids play stuff and educational stuff, much of which the grandkids enjoy. I find some of the items like Kstars being useful with out being overwhelming. A lot of newer software seems so feature rich that is hard to use it just for fun/hobby/recreation.

I pulled the trigger and purchased a Raspberry Pi 400. Just the computer, I have mice and power supplies and cables. Along with the Pi 400 I ordered an M-Sata to USB adaptor to use the M-Sata card from the dead X220 as a boot drive for the Pi. Trinity DE runs very nicely on the Pi 3B+ and I am think this new setup with the extra RAM and faster overall hardware will make for a very nice desktop setup.

How much did you pay for the Pi 400?

The Raspberry Pi 400 was $70 plus $10 shipping. That was just the computer itself. I already had cables, power supplies and whatever else I needed.
