KDE 5.19 released

Post by tlmiller »

New point version, new thread (IMO)..

More information here.

Actually got this on my endeavor install this morning. So far not seeing the major differences, although did have some issues immediately after installing, but they went away after a few minutes and haven't resurfaced...

At some point I'll have to boot up my Anarchy boxes and get it, but not in a huge hurry. I should also probably consider updating my work computer, but that'll wait until later in the day so I can just shut down after the updates instead of having to reconnect to my VPN.

I have found that the activities bar on the left side of the screen does not go away by itself if when switching activities you hold the super key too long. And the only way to get rid of it is to right click on the desktop and choose "activities", even the shortcuts don't seem to work.

Just tried it and it seems to work fine for me and shortcuts are fine.

It's hit and miss. I can't make it do it on my current boot, but earlier this morning, it was doing it.

And now I've found if I allow the batteries to get to 100% charged, the battery icon goes AWOL. Doesn't just HIDE...it just completely VANISHES. Definiteliy not impressed with 5.19 so far, seems to be exceedingly buggy.

Batteries are 100% charged and the icon is still there and doing fine. This on Neon 5.19 on my Dell E6430 that I use for work all day.

You're pretty lucky. From what I've read on other forums, 5.19 is so far just a barrel full of bugs. TONS of threads about things no longer working (some are not affecting me either).
