Plume is the only one Ive ever tried but very little experience with it.

I don't have experience with any of them. Most of them I've never even heard of. but I don't do writing, and the rare times I do have to write something, a word processor is quite adequate for me.

Me neither, Geany usually does everything I need, and I'm definitely no Author.

I wish I were creative enough to be an author, I think it would be AMAZING to be so talented with the english language that I could write interesting things. Sadly, while I do like to think of myself as above average intelligence, my creative side is...not brilliant. Which is to say, I barely have one.

These are also handy if you have large reports or school projects with a lot of info and need to organize it as you go.

Each have advantages in certain situations.

I think all the packages/apps in the article are good for those that need them, but I too lack the creative ability to have the need for them, I have used tomboy a little though but that was just for having linked notes when I was writing a pretty big (for me anyway) Python script.
