IMO, not as vital as 57 was. Still a good release it seems, but it's not like the upgrade from 56 to 57 in terms of performance.

Firefox 58 is out today for most Linux distros as I updated Linux Mint XFCE 18.3,MX Linux 17and Ubuntu Mate 16.04.3 so far.

Maybe its just me but Firefox 58 feels quicker than 57 and its very noticeable.

In terms of overall startup and responsiveness, I'd agree. Not sure if I'd say it's quicker surfing, but DEFINITELY feels like it starts and exits faster. And maybe is more responsive with a LOT of tabs open.

As of my last checking, it was not yet available on Arch or Fedora, but was in SID for Debian.

Ubuntu, most of the RPM distros have it, Mint and Windows yesterday.
