Somewhat related inso far as affecting Nvidia...I was reading that with the kernel 5.3 nvidia drivers will be broken. Some code that Nvidia relied upon has been removed, and is not considered to be an issue since obviously Nvidia drivers are binary, not open source.

We'll see what happens as the gaming community will be very active in support of maintaing driver support.
