Which distros work with the Dell E6420 and E port dock

KDE Neon 2019627 works fine but when you install or use the live session make sure to open your laptop and click on use external monitor. Backlit keyboard also works fine.

Mageia 7 final works fine and Ill report back later.

Netrunner is still having issues so Im dropping it off the list, but KDE Neon has settled down so its becoming a great choice.

No dostro other than Zorin 15 though handles the external screen issue very well. Zorin really got it right and auto adapts with no issues at all.

Mageia 7 install worked fine no issues.

Most recent version of Elementary OS 5.0 works but the distro itself has many issues and boots slower and uses more memory than KDE Neon does so not sure Id bother using it.

Im having issues with KDE Neon and Mageia 7 in regards to initializing the external monitor when in dock. Kubuntu does not have that issue as well as Zorin and ROSA. Also had issues with getting the right resolution with Mageia 7 and the mouse doesnt work at times.

It appears one of my E6420s has a Nvidia gpu and Mageia was trying to enable it by default which caused the screen and mouse issues. Used the control center to set the Intel gpu as the default and everything is working just fine.

Mageia favors the Nvidia proprietary drivers so if your running a combo gpu setup, beware.
