Is that the cpu in the 3010 optiplex? Thats the cpu ive been hoping for as I really like the i5 due to its performance versus heat generation. I like cool/quiet systems.

Is it available?

Once I get around to replacing it, yes. I have the replacement ready to install, I just need to get around to backing up the info on the 3010 and installing the replacement.

I worked and was trained at JBL for all their transducer(speaker) repairs. I was a warranty shop for Harman Group for over 25 years. Was GREATLY dismayed when Samsung bought Harman 2 years ago. What a mess.... :(

Updated the bios and tested the system with both Windows 7 and Neptune 5.2 and runs very well. I especially like the fact that its a quiet system as I got tired of all the noise from my gaming systems over the years.

that's actually one of the things I really like with my new Dell. Even though it's a octo-core processor with 16 threads, it's SIGNIFICANTLY quieter than my previous desktop.

That was one of the things I liked about the BTX design Dell used previously. The cooling was excellent but the sound level was very low. Even the hard drives ran very cool with that design.
